When to Visit Puerto Vallarta

High season in Puerto Vallarta falls between December and April. Although this is the best time to visit the city weather-wise (it is the dry season), the resorts will be more crowded and can be more expensive. Between July and October, hotel rates can drop by as much as 40%, but humidity can be high and afternoon rain showers can be common. However, by August the frequent rain has ensured that the forests and gardens of the city are looking green and lush.
