Getting to French Polynesia
The best airport to fly from to get to French Polynesia is Los Angeles. There are daily flights available on, Air France, Air Tahiti, American Airlines, Quantas Airlines and other major airlines out of LAX to Tahiti. The typical flying time is over eight hours to get to Tahiti and then short flights of less than an hour to the other major Islands such as Bora Bora and Moorea.

Tahiti

Tahiti is also the most visited island in French Polynesia and is highly recommended due to the myriad of attractions available to the discerning traveler. When to Visit French Polynesia
French Polynesia is a collection of tropical islands and as such the temperatures are high throughout the year, ranging from 24 degrees to 32 degrees. You can, therefore, visit at any time throughout the year. However, rainy season is between November and April and the dry season is between June and August, which is the busiest months for tourists and also the most expensive time to visit. If you visit outside of these months, your travel costs will be more affordable.
